An introductory and informational event entitled ‘Welcome to University Life Meeting’ was organised for students newly enrolled at Tarsus University.  The events, aimed at introducing university life to first-year students of the Faculty and Vocational School, were held at the Şehit İstihkâm Üsteğmen Ozan Olgu Köreke Conference Hall on the main campus and at the Mersin OSB Technical Sciences Vocational School OSB Conference Hall. In addition to the students, the programme was attended by Tarsus University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen, Vice Rectors, and representatives of the units giving the information presentations.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen, who gave the opening speech for the programmes, provided information about the university's mission, vision, and the opportunities available to students. Following his assessment of the institutional structure and education and training opportunities, he addressed the students, saying: "You, our valued students, who are the reason for our existence, are now among us as the newest members of Tarsus University. I sincerely congratulate you all. We all sat in the same rows and followed the same paths at one time, but remember that you are not alone. Here, you are part of a large family, the Tarsus University family. You are the new members of one of Turkey's most dynamic and rapidly developing universities. Welcome again, everyone. Together, we will learn, create, and succeed."
