The Regional University Rectors Meeting was held at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University with the participation of Higher Education Council (YÖK) President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. The meeting, attended by Tarsus University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen, discussed the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts carried out in the region after the February 6 earthquakes. The educational activities carried out by universities in the provinces affected by the earthquake and their activities contributing to regional development were evaluated.
Following the meeting, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, Hatay Governor Mustafa Masatlı, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Rector Prof. Dr. Veysel Eren, Tarsus University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen, and the rectors of regional universities attended an iftar program organized by Mustafa Kemal University and the Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) in the university cafeteria.
