Tarsus Üniversitesi’nin temelleri 1992 yılında Mersin Üniversitesi’ne bağlı olarak kurulan Tarsus Meslek Yüksekokulu ile atılmıştır. 2001 yılında Tarsus Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi, 2005 yılında Uygulamalı Teknoloji ve İşletmecilik Yüksekokulu kurulmasıyla eğitim faaliyetlerini genişletmiştir.Bugün itibari ile 4 fakülte, 1 enstitü, 1 yüksekokul ve 2 meslek yüksekokulu ile faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir.

A conference titled “The Independence Anthem, Anthem of the Future” was held at Tarsus University.

An online conference was held to mark the 105th anniversary of the adoption of the National Anthem by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. 


The conference, held as part of March 12 Independence Anthem Adoption and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Commemoration Day, featured Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Vice Rector and Faculty of Literature Turkish Language and Literature Department faculty member Prof. Dr. İdris Nebi Uysal as a speaker. The conference addressed the life, intellectual world, and literary personality of National Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy, emphasizing the historical and cultural significance of the 105th anniversary of the adoption of the National Anthem.


In his speech at the conference, Prof. Dr. Uysal stated that when Mehmet Akif Ersoy is mentioned, the National Anthem immediately comes to mind, and that this work should not be considered as just an ordinary anthem or merely a poem. Uysal emphasized that Mehmet Akif entrusted the National Anthem to the Turkish nation and stated that the National Anthem, adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on March 12, 1921, is a powerful set of values in terms of its language, spirit, and meaning. The program ended after the participants' questions were answered.
