Tarsus University participated in the ‘Station Academy Universities 1st Consultation Meeting’ programme organised under the auspices of Station Gaziantep, which aims to strengthen cooperation between the public sector, universities and industry in line with regional development goals.
The programme, hosted by Çukurova University, was attended by Tarsus University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen, Adana Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger, Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, rectors and administrators from 21 universities, local government representatives, industry and trade chamber officials, civil society organisations and private sector representatives.
The Station Gaziantep platform, established under the leadership of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and structured to carry out regional development-focused work in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aims to develop joint projects that will support academic, technological and social development by establishing direct cooperation with 21 universities. In this context, the meeting addressed topics such as multi-stakeholder project models to be implemented under the Station Gaziantep and Station Academy auspices, the strategic role of universities in regional development, strategies related to digital transformation processes, and the strengthening of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
