An iftar program for university rectors was held in the TBMM Ceremony Hall, hosted by Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The program, which was also attended by Prof. Dr. Ali Özen, Rector of Tarsus University, was attended by rectors from universities across Turkey.
Speaking at the program, TBMM President Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş expressed his pleasure at gathering with the rectors for an iftar program at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the center of national will and the heart of Turkish democracy. Kurtulmuş emphasized that universities play an important role in scientific production, social development, and building the country's future, noting that the contribution of higher education institutions to knowledge production and training qualified human resources is of great importance. The iftar program concluded with an exchange of views on current developments in Turkey and around the world, the role of universities in higher education, and Turkey's academic future.
