Tarsus University organised a ‘Fall Run’ to promote exercise habits and healthy living awareness among students and staff.
The 2,000-metre free-style running race, organised by the Health, Culture and Sports Directorate on Thursday, 9 October, was attended by numerous students as well as academic and administrative staff. The event attracted considerable interest, with spectators sharing in the excitement of the sport alongside the competitors. The race, which saw fierce competition in both the women's and men's categories, saw various prizes and gifts presented to the athletes who placed. Commemorative medals were also awarded to all competitors.
The event, which will become a tradition with the aim of increasing the interest of students and staff in physical activities and strengthening awareness of healthy living, is planned to be held every year during the autumn and spring terms.
