The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, Tarsus University and Akkuyu Nuclear Inc. have signed a protocol to strengthen academic and industrial cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.
Under the protocol signed by Tarsus University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen and officials from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Akkuyu Nuclear Inc., the aim is to train qualified human resources in the field of nuclear energy and nuclear power plants.
Under the protocol, titled Framework Cooperation Agreement in the Nuclear Field, the aim is to develop programmes that support students' education in nuclear energy technologies, plan internships and practical training processes, and strengthen university-industry cooperation.
