Afforestation Protocol Signed for Tarsus University Science Forest

A comprehensive afforestation protocol, aimed at contributing to the ecological structure of the region, was signed between Tarsus University and the Mersin Regional Forestry Directorate. Under the protocol, signed by Tarsus University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen and Mersin Regional Forestry Director Rifat Ataş, a large area in the Karabucak district of Tarsus will be afforested and named the "Tarsus University Science Forest. Within the framework of the protocol, a sapling will be planted in the Science Forest for each academic study conducted at the university, and students will participate in the afforestation activities, gaining environmental awareness and sustainability consciousness.
