Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alper Yontar, a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, is participating in gas turbine research conducted under the China International Expert Engagement and Global Collaboration Program (IEEGCP) 2026, as part of the Double First-Class University Plan and the Belt and Road Education Initiative.
As part of the project in which Prof. Dr. Yontar will participate, scientific research will be conducted to strengthen international academic collaboration between Xi’an Polytechnic University in China and Tarsus University in the fields of next-generation gas turbine applications and combustion mechanisms in gas turbines. Under the project, which has Xi’an Polytechnic University as the academic partner and Shaanxi Jiawen Yingcai Technology Corporation as the industrial partner, the goal is to develop international collaboration through seminars, technical meetings, practical courses, and scientific exchanges among researchers. Additionally, the project aims to prepare and submit joint collaboration proposals under the 2566 – TÜBİTAK – NSFC (China) Bilateral Cooperation Program.
