Various events were organized at Tarsus University on the occasion of the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day celebrated on 19 May. Within the scope of the program, conferences and seminars were held alongside a youth run and a Super Cup football match.
In the online conference titled “Atatürk, the National Struggle and Youth,” moderated by Lecturer Dr. Çiğdem Duman Süner, Associate Professor Dr. Yunus Emre Tansü from Gaziantep University participated as the invited speaker. During the conference, the emphasis placed by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on youth, the developments during the National Struggle period, and the role of young people in social development were discussed.
Seminars addressing youth, psychological processes, and healthy living were also held at the Martyr Combat Engineer First Lieutenant Ozan Olgu Köreke Conference Hall. In the seminar titled “Youth: Anxiety, Relationships and Our Inner Voice,” evaluations were made regarding the social and psychological development processes of young people, while the seminar titled “A Holistic Approach to Obesity for Healthy Youth” provided information on healthy lifestyle habits and obesity awareness. As part of the 19 May events, a youth run and a Super Cup football match were organized with the participation of students and staff members, and awards for the Rectorate Spring Cup tournaments were presented to their recipients.
