Tarsus University attended the "3rd Regional Universities Cooperation and Consultation Meetings" meeting hosted by Fırat University on Tuesday, February 3. The meeting held at Atatürk Cultural Center was organized with the theme of "Joining Forces in Local Development, Joint Journey to the European Ecosystem".

At the meeting; Tarsus University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tuğba Yolcu, Elazığ Governor Numan Hatipoğlu, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, Elazığ Mayor Şahin Şerifoğulları, Fırat University Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, YÖK Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs General Manager of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent Özcan, academicians and representative delegations from 27 universities attended the meeting.

In the program; Strengthening local development, increasing cooperation between universities, the importance of the knowledge economy and developing a collaborative working culture between universities and local governments were discussed. In the presentations made within the scope of the meeting, evaluations were made on increasing experience sharing among regional universities, making more effective use of international resources, especially European Union funds, and joint projects that will contribute to sustainable regional development.

Following the academic presentations, the meeting was completed with evaluations and mutual exchange of views on deepening inter-university cooperation and developing joint projects.
