Tarsus Üniversitesi’nin temelleri 1992 yılında Mersin Üniversitesi’ne bağlı olarak kurulan Tarsus Meslek Yüksekokulu ile atılmıştır. 2001 yılında Tarsus Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi, 2005 yılında Uygulamalı Teknoloji ve İşletmecilik Yüksekokulu kurulmasıyla eğitim faaliyetlerini genişletmiştir.Bugün itibari ile 4 fakülte, 1 enstitü, 1 yüksekokul ve 2 meslek yüksekokulu ile faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir.

Tarsus University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen Met with High School and Middle School Students

The Rector of Tarsus University, Prof. Dr. Ali Özen, met with students from Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Şehit Sabri Acem Middle School as part of the ‘Large Districts Security and Transformation Project’ run by the Tarsus District Governor's Office. Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Tuğba Yolcu and officials from relevant institutions also attended the events.


In conversations held with the young people in a friendly atmosphere, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen and Prof. Dr. Tuğba Yolcu shared their experiences in their education and professional lives, inspiring the young people to create their own roadmaps.


During the events, students were given guidance on the importance of perseverance in the face of challenges encountered in their educational lives, setting goals, and career planning. In the discussions, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özen emphasised the importance of trust, perseverance, and continuous development, noting that individual success contributes to social transformation.


The events concluded with group photos taken to commemorate the day and the presentation of books to the students, following the answering of their questions.
